New Beginning Community Church currently supports six missionary organizations either by general support to be used as they choose or by designated support for a career missionary family within that organization. Following are the missionary organizations that we currently support:
Greg and Luann Lyons serving with Global Surge. Their ministry is a church planting urban ministry committed to reaching this generation for Christ and transforming them into reproducing disciples that will reach the world. Their focus is the Philippines, southeast Asia and 35 countries surrounding the Indian Ocean. Greg is the founder and CEO of Global Surge, and you can learn more about their work at globalsurge.net.
Allen and Marianna Owens serving with New Path Adventures, a ministry of Reach Youth Global. They are involved with At-Risk Youth Camps in Houston, TX and internationally in Mexico, Latin America, Columbia, Puerto Rico as well as Uganda. More information is available at reachyouthglobal.org.
Josue and Prisca Akowanou serving with Truth Unleashed Ministries. Their ministry is planting churches in Benin, West Africa along with helping people there to better provide for their families through training in agriculture and other skills. Ryder and Flory Kumar serving with Shepherding the Nations. Their mission is to glorify God by training and resourcing indigenous pastors to plant healthy churches in unreached areas. This is accomplished by pastors coming from their rural villages in Latin America and East Asia to be trained regionally in their own languages. Their fields are India and Nepal in Southeast Asia and Southern Mexico, Honduras, Columbia, and Bolivia in Latin America. Ryder Kumar is serving as the International Director. As one of the founding members of Shepherding the Nations, it was Ryder's vision to see pastors trained and equipped for ministry that became the foundation of Shepherding the Nations. Operation Christmas Child is part of The Samaritan’s Purse organization whose mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. In 2023, the New Beginning Community Church congregation participated by preparing shoeboxes for 1000+ children around the world. The Gideons International is an organization that believes distributing copies of God’s Word plants powerful seeds God can use according to His own timing (I Corinthians 3:6), allows many to read the truth for themselves (John 8:32), provides a lasting witness (Hebrews 4:12), and makes it easier for those we reach to boldly spread the Good News (II Timothy 2:2).
Members of The Gideons International personally witness and distribute God’s Word to police, fire, and medical personnel; prisoners; military personnel; students in the fifth grade and above; and to those with whom they interact on a daily basis. Scriptures are also placed by Gideons International members in key locations, including hotels, motels, hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices, domestic violence shelters, prisons, and jails.
