United Diversity in Christ

April 24, 2024

As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose.  It contains links to a Bible reading that if followed daily will have taken you through the entire Bible by this time next year, devotional thoughts from Our Daily Bread, and the passage upon which those thoughts are based, with a prayer inspired by that passage.  We hope you will find it helpful!

Bible in a Year: 2 Samuel 19-20; Luke 18:1-23

Today’s Our Daily Bread: United Diversity in Christ | Our Daily Bread (odb.org)

Devotional Passage: 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 21-27

Prayer: We thank You, Heavenly Father, for our all having been baptized by the Holy Spirit into the one Body of Christ that is the Church He purchased for Himself by virtue of His death and resurrection, of which He is the Head and is to have absolute supremacy in all things.  Please remind us as often as we need it that we are joined as His Body of which we are each members and therefore members of one another – one in Him!  Knowing that You put us together as unique individuals with different gifts, we trust You to lead us in how best to function together in the unity of the Spirit.  May our embrace of the truth that You put the Body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other, motivate our suffering with any who suffer and rejoicing with any who are honored among our family in Christ, in Whose Name we pray.  Amen.

If you have a prayer request or a prayer for all of us that we can share for one another, please send it to prayerchain@nbccparker.com.
