Prayer Matters

As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose. It contains links to a Bible reading that if followed daily will have taken you through the entire Bible by this time next year, devotional thoughts from Our Daily Bread, and the passage upon which those thoughts are based, with a prayer inspired by that passage. We hope you will find it helpful!

Devotional Passage: 2 Kings 20:1-6
Prayer: Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the reminder that while our prayers might be answered as we have requested, they are always answered as required for the sake of bringing You the glory, honor, and praise You so richly deserve. We thank You for the privilege of approaching Your Throne of Grace with confidence by virtue of the High Priestly ministry of Your Beloved Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need – which is all the time! We also thank You for the promise that we will receive whatever we ask in His Name that is for the sake of accomplishing His will, in His way, toward His purposes, to the praise of His glory. As those who have access to You, through Him by the Holy Spirit, we do pray in His Name for perseverance in praying without ceasing on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, being alert and constantly praying for one another and all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.
